WHERE IS PLAYA DEL CARMEN?

Playa del Carmen, Mexico is located on the Mexican Riviera. 35 minutes of Cancun Airport and 45 minutes north of Tulum. Playa del Carmen is in the state of Quintana Roo, in the Yucatán peninsula. (click on link below) PLAYA DEL CARMEN (known simply as Playa) once a soporific, very Mexican fishing village, has mushroomed in recent years and now has the dubious distinction of being the world's fastest growing town (by a rate of 26 percent per annum), according to the Guinness Book of Records. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, cafés, souvenir and silver-jewelry outlets and designer clothes shops. The beach is one of the prettiest on the coast with unfeasibly white sand and gloriously clear sea and the entire town is, for the moment, still compact and easily covered on foot – as well as playing host to the best nightlife on the Riviera Maya. The reef offshore is almost as spectacular here as in Cozumel.

Yes, there are over 300 restaurants, offering all flavors of the world and all within walking distance. There is also a 5 star restaurant on site at our Porto Playa Condo Hotel which is only 1 block away from our Villas Sacbe and El Taj condo hotels.

Yes every condo hotel has its own Parking Garage

DOES PORTO PLAYA HAVE A POOL?

Yes, it is a 70' heated lap pool. There are also 2 heated jacuzzis with a beautiful sun deck and the pool waters overflow into a magnificent lounging Pool below which is surrounded by a lush tropical gardens and patios.

DO YOU HAVE CRIBS AVAILABLE?

Yes, and we charge $5.00 per day or $25.00 for the week. They are playpen/cribs. Please request a crib when you make your reservation, to ensure the crib will be ready and in your condo when you check-in.

WHAT IS THE CHARGE FOR EXTRA PERSONS?

We charge $30.00 per person per night. This is just to cover the extra costs for linens and maid service.

DO WE HAVE TO PAY A SECURITY DEPOSIT?

Yes, we require a $250.00 security deposit. We require a credit card at check in. We do not charge your credit card. This is only to pay for any damages found after you check out.

DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL TO MEXICO?

Yes effective January 1, 2007 passports are required. Mexico WILL NOT ACCEPT birth certificates any longer. As of January 8, 2007, this requirement will apply to all air and sea travel to or from Mexico. As of December 31, 2007, this requirement will be extended to all land border crossings as well as air and sea travel.

DO YOUR CONDOS HAVE IRONS?

Yes, we have irons in every condo.

WHAT DOES THE PORTO PLAYA PENTHOUSES OFFER THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER CONDOS?

DO YOU HAVE BABY SITTERS AVAILABLE?

Yes, we try to have a selection of baby-sitters available and we coordinate this with the local schools and try to get teachers who are eager to work a little extra during their free time. If you let us know the languages you child speaks we can try to get someone that is able to communicate in the same language (but we can't guarantee that). The cost is $15 per hour (upto 2 children) and we suggest you give us as much advance notice as possible in order to accommodate your requests

CAN YOU DRINK THE WATER IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN?

In Mexico the water is treated with a high level of chlorine in order to combat any bacteria. The water is very clean and sanitized but is not suitable for drinking. In each of the condos we supply FREE unlimited purified bottle water. You will also be pleased to know that all the restaurants must use Purified water to wash the food It's a law! There is a myth that Mexicans have strong stomachs and can drink the water. Everyone uses purified water for consumption because the water tastes bad.

DO YOUR CONDO HOTELS OFFER MAID SERVICE?

Yes, we provide maid service EVERY DAY except Sundays.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING TO STAY AT YOUR CONDO HOTEL CONDOMINIUMS?

Our condos are fully furnished, including all linens, full kitchen and beach towels.

ARE YOUR CONDOS CLOSE TO TOWN (PLAYA DEL CARMEN)

Yes, all of our luxury condos are located in the center of town. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. 1 block from famous 5th Avenue (Quinta Av) and 1 block to the beach. Exactly where you would want to be!!

DO I NEED TO BRING A BLOW DRYER?

No, all condos are equipped with blow dryers in each bathroom.

It is located 50 feet from the beautiful Playa del Carmen beach and in the center of Playa between 12 and 14th streets on Privada Av.
