When’s a good time to send out invitations?
It is best to send Save the Date notifications about six or 8 months before your wedding. These are a general courtesy to remind your guests to keep that exact date or weekend clear in their calendars. And when it comes to a destination wedding, this is even more important because your guests will most likely have clear out a few extra days or the whole week to attend your wedding.
It is also a good idea to send them out earlier than normal because it allows guests to have enough time to save up a little extra money and vacation time to truly enjoy your destination wedding with you.
The actual Wedding Invitations can be sent about 6 to 8 weeks before the date, so your guests finalize their travel arrangements and verify that their workplaces have those vacation days blocked out

Is it time to start booking?
One of the first things that you need to pick in advance, is a venue. Once you’ve done this, you’ll need to start booking travel and hotel accommodations for you and your guests.
Most condo hotels or resorts, have wedding packages that include a coordinator /specialist and a Reservations specialist that will help you get special rates for booking a block of condos, just like us! Although your gests are expected to pay for their own condos, it is super convenient to block them in advance so you can receive a discounted rated.
Be sure to keep a constant stream of communications with the weding planner and reservation specialist throughout the wedding planning process so that everybody is on the same page.

Do’s and don’ts.
Maybe you’re asking yourself, who pays for what? Typically, guests should pay for their own travel arrangement and hotel accommodations.
If you’ve invited any guests who are struggling financially, you can always offer them a little help so they are able to attend your special day.
Make sure you are constantly in touch with your wedding party, this way everybody will be on the same page when it comes to dates, timelines, costs, attire, etc.

What to pack?
Remember to check the weather for the dates you’re going to be in the Riviera Maya, it might not always be warm and balmy but most of the year it does. Don’t forget to bring your valid passport, wedding attire, bathing suits, beach cover-ups, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals and hat! These are some of the basic you’ll need to enjoy the tropical beaches.
Advise your guests that they cannot bring any fresh produce, meats, seed, soils or agricultural stuff with them in case their wedding gifts involve any of these items.
